Matthew 21:1-11 Devotional "The Lord God Needs You"

Where did the donkey and colt that Jesus ride into Jerusalem come from? The disciples are not given an address or a name. They are just given instructions to tell anyone who might object, "The Lord needs them." Jesus assures the disciples that the owner will hand over the animals.  Jesus is confident that God will provide what He needs. God has that same confidence in us. Can we be trusted with that confidence? When there is a need in the world, a thirst that seeks to be quenched, a hunger that longs to be filled, can God count on us to respond unhesitatingly as members of Christ's body? God needs you. There is no one who can respond to God's needs in the ways you can. Are you able to untie whatever constricts your soul and heart and say, "I am! Use me!"
