Luke 1:47-55 Devotional

Mary's soul glorifies God, not by making Him bigger but by giving Him greater space in her thoughts, affections, and expectations. Advent calls us to magnify God by focusing on Him rather than on our worldly distractions or self-importance. Mary's song is a song of profound joy, even before Jesus' birth, because she trusts God's promises. Her joy is not just for the happy times but for God's coming justice and mercy, which brings hope to the downcast. In this Third Sunday of Advent, let Mary's glorifying song be our prayer in this continued season of expectation and joyful praise. Let us recognize that God is actively working to bring His salvation, even now.
